Tourism Minister, British High Commissioner Discuss Ways to Increase UK Tourist Arrivals to Maldives

Tourism Minister, Dr.Abdulla Mausoom has met with the British High Commissioner to Maldives, H.E. Ms. Caron Rohsler to discuss the ways to increase UK tourist arrival to the Maldives.

During the meeting held at Ministry of Tourism, Tourism Minister and High commissioner discussed about sustainable tourism development initiatives in Maldives and ways to further increase tourist arrivals from the UK.

The UK is one of the major source markets for the Maldives. In 2019, a total of 125,199 visitors from UK arrived in Maldives whereas this year, there were 7,288 visitors prior to the lockdown (January to March).
