At the TTM Travel Summit 2021 which was held on Sunday, one of the keynote speakers was Mr. Mark Hehir, the General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands.
Speaking at the summit, Mr. Hehir revealed that meaningful experiences define this new era in hospitality. As such, the Ritz-Carlton Maldives has incorporated elements of local culture and heritage in their guest experiences, creating unforgettable ‘wow’ moments to take back home with them.
He also spoke about the conservation and sustainability programs that the Ritz-Carlton Maldives undertakes, such as the Jean-Michel Cousteau Ambassadors of the Environment Program. Guests can enrich their stay by learning more about the natural wonders both above and below water through this fun, active, inspirational outdoor education program.
Through the Ocean Futures Society, this partnership brings an array of exciting experiences and research opportunities, led by Cousteau-trained naturalists, to this rare geographical destination, featuring roughly a thousand islands, 99% covered by the sea and distinct tropical flora and fauna.
Mr. Hehir also spoke about creating experiences for, and catering to younger guests, who have a contrasting set of needs compared to older generations.
The TTM Travel Summit 2021 was held on 28th November 2021, as the opening event of this year’s TTM Maldives, the largest and leading travel fair in the country.
