Singapore Airlines To Operate Male’ To Johannesburg Flight’s From Next Week

Singapore Airlines to add a stopover in Male’ on its flights between Singapore, and Johannesburg, South Africa. The flights will begin next week on 14th December and will continue for seven weeks until 29th January 2022.

The changes have been brought after the detection of the Omicron variant in South Africa which forced the airline to operate nearly all flights from South Africa carrying only cargo.

With the changes, the carriers existing Singapore to South Africa flight will operate as it is on Tuesdays and Saturdays with an additional stopover in the Maldives. The return flight will arrive on Tuesdays and depart the next day and the second flight of the week will arrive on Saturday and will depart on Sunday.

Flight on Tuesday will carry passengers to Maldives from Singapore and then to South Africa however on Saturday passengers will be carried only to the Maldives and the remainder of the flight to South Africa will continue as cargo only. The return flight will operate to the Maldives from South Africa as cargo-only and then will carry passengers from Maldives to Singapore.
