In the spirit of Eid al-Adha, CROSSROADS Maldives is bringing ‘Bodu Eid Foari’ with fun-filled festivities. As the island nation prepares for its first post-pandemic Eid al-Adha, everyone is looking for a quick and easy getaway to celebrate with family and friends.
Festivities spread over three days will give an insight into how Maldivians celebrate Eid. The unique style of cultural activities such as Bodumas Parade; the folklore of two fisherman’s journey to catch a large fish with the help of magic or fanditha, and Kodi Kendun with Dheli Maali Parade; a crafted masterpiece of palm leaves and dancers around it covered in ash are some of the cultural events to look for.
Start your day with a feast at bean / Co. or Kalhu Odi restaurant at The Marina. Cultural activities, also known as ‘Eid Kulhivaru’, will start with beach games and a Bodumas parade, and the day will end with Eid Show at The Beach Club.
Spend the day by the beach with water sports activities at the iconic Hard Rock Cafe Beach, and the main event to focus on ‘Koadi Kendun with Dheli Maali parade’ will start in the late afternoon and same as day one,the evening will be completed with Eid show at The Beach Club.
The finale of the Eid celebration is dedicated to visitors and in-house guests of both resorts to experience Street Market in Eid style with various street food stalls and surprise entertainment throughout the evening.
The multi-Island destination and its resorts SAii Lagoon Maldives, Curio Collection by Hilton and Hard Rock Hotel Maldives are currently open for locals & expats’ staycation, and this will be a fantastic opportunity to fully enjoy ‘Bodu Eid Foari’ and relax with your loved ones.
