Amazon has introduced flight search and booking for Amazon users in India. The service is being carried out with the aid of Indian domestic travel agency, Cleartrip and only works for flights within India.
It works through Amazon Pay where users are given an option of services from utility bills to gift cards in their website. Customers can select “Flights” option and make their payments online. The button would take them to the white label version of the OTA’s existing flight functionality.
Airlines such as AirAsia, IndiGo, Air India and GoAir are currently the results displayed in the search. More details will be shared by Amazon in the coming week.
