Bangkok Airways and British Airways Announce Expansion of Codeshare Partnership

Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited and British Airways have announced an expansion of their codeshare partnership. This collaboration will improve customer convenience by providing seamless connections from London Gatwick Airport to popular destinations in Thailand and Southeast Asia serviced by Bangkok Airways.

British Airways will resume direct flights between London and Bangkok later this year, with the first flight scheduled for 28 October 2024. Initially, there will be three flights per week, increasing to up to five flights per week from January to March 2025.

Under this codeshare agreement, British Airways will place its flight numbers on Bangkok Airways’ routes, including Bangkok–Chiang Mai, Bangkok–Samui, Bangkok–Phuket, Bangkok–Phnom Penh (Cambodia), Bangkok–Siem Reap (Cambodia). These routes will be in addition to the existing Singapore–Samui codeshare option.

This expanded codeshare partnership will offer British Airways passengers increased convenience for connecting flights to these destinations under a single booking reference, including through-checked baggage services.
