Angsana Velavaru marked a significant milestone on 28 November 2024, hosting a meaningful Long Service Award ceremony to celebrate the unwavering dedication of its associates. This special event honoured team members who have contributed five, ten, and fifteen years of service, underscoring their pivotal role in maintaining the resort’s exceptional standards and embodying the spirit of the Banyan Group.
Eddy See, President and CEO and Phillip Lim, Head of Regional Operations and Group Specialist Services, joined Ahmed Zahir, General Manager, in presenting the awards. The ceremony symbolised a key moment in Angsana Velavaru’s journey, reflecting the resort’s deep commitment to its associates — the cornerstone of the Angsana experience.
In a gesture that further demonstrates its commitment to its team, Angsana Velavaru unveiled the newly renovated Midhili Restaurant, designed exclusively for associates. This renovation was a collaborative effort, with associates working closely with the guidance of General Manager Ahmed Zahir and various department heads to build a space that reflects the resort’s ongoing investment in its team. The newly designed restaurant offers a cosy and inviting atmosphere, complete with comfortable couches and a warm, welcoming design that fosters relaxation and community among associates.
Midhili Restaurant is the first of its kind to open as part of the Banyan Group’s global initiative to enhance associate spaces across its hotels and resorts worldwide. This initiative aims to create more comfortable and supportive environments for staff, recognising their integral role in delivering exceptional guest experiences. As part of this programme, Banyan Group is dedicated to modernising associate spaces to enhance well-being, build community, and strengthen engagement across its global workforce.
Ahmed Zahir, General Manager of Angsana Velavaru, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the associates for their commitment, stating, “Our associates are the driving force behind the success of Angsana Velavaru.
