Maldives is one of the most luxurious and naturally gifted places in the world and footballers have been known to visit from time to time. The destination has once again welcomed a number of footballers from around the globe for this holiday season.
Among those includes, Russian footballers Aleksandr Sobolev, Pavel Mamayev, Yury Gazinsky, Slovakian player Marek Hamšík, and Ukrainian player Oleh Danchenko.
The destination has witnessed a significant increase in tourist arrivals this year reaching 1.5 Millionth arrival target in November 2019. Tourist arrival which was recorded till October 2019 is 1,393,618 which is a 14.5% increase compared to 2018.
The Maldives has also landed a spot on the Forbes list of the top 20 destinations for 2020 and topped the list of 2019’s most searched holiday destinations on Google.
