He further highlighted that tomorrow (27th March) is a sad day for the Maldives tourism industry history as Maldives will be suspending on arrival visa for all tourists as a precautionary measure to curb the spreading of COVID-19 outbreak in the country.

Minister also emphasized that Maldives, along with other countries throughout the globe should help each other out in order to overcome this pandemic.

In addition to this, the members of the Global Tourism Crisis Community discussed on ‘Supporting jobs and economics through tourism’ and its paper ‘Mitigating the social economics impact of COVID-19 accelerating recovery’.
