Abdulla Ghiyas Appointed as Chairman of MMPRC

Abdulla Ghiyas, President of the Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO), has assumed the role of chairman at the Maldives Marketing and PR Corporation (MMPRC).

Ghiyas, recognised for his influential leadership at MATATO, brings a wealth of experience in championing the travel sector and cultivating international relations through diverse initiatives, including training programmes, trade shows, and destination marketing campaigns. 

With a notable portfolio in entrepreneurship, including ventures such as Inner Maldives Holidays, Ace Travels Maldives, and Universal Aviation Maldives, Ghiyas is anticipated to leverage his deep industry knowledge in his new capacity at MMPRC.

His appointment follows closely on the heels of new additions to the MMPRC board, including Aishath Hameed and Abdul Sameeu Imad, who now join directors Maha Naseer and Aminath Vulau Mohamed Nazim. These changes coincide with the recent appointment of Ibrahim Shiuree as Managing Director of MMPRC in June.
