Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru and Angsana Ihuru commemorated brand’s 25th Anniversary by Celebrating its People.
The 25th of September 2019 marked the 25th Anniversary of Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts and its two properties in North Male’ Atoll arranged a weeklong celebration with activities involving guests and associates.
A ‘Swim Across the Channel’ kicked off the celebration where 34 guests and associates jumped off from Angsana Ihuru jetty and swam for about 870meters all the way to Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru. This much-anticipated activity was arranged with the guidance of our first aiders. Several boats guided the swimmers to ensure safety for everyone while crossing the channel. This activity was followed by a 3-day ‘sports fest’ held at Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru beach which was attended by associates and several guests with thrilling beach activities including tug of war at the lagoon.
The weeklong celebration’s finale was an Associate Recognition Event, an evening dedicated for associates who have been in service for years at both Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru and Angsana Ihuru.
Eight associates received an award for five years of service, seven associates for ten years of service, five associates for fifteen years of service, four associates for twenty years of service and ten associates received an award for twenty-five years of service in the company.
The awardees received certificates, badges and cash prizes in appreciation for the years of service at Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts.
