Barceló Whale Lagoon Maldives Celebrates Housekeeping Week with Enthusiasm and Appreciation

Barceló Whale Lagoon Maldives recently marked an exceptional Housekeeping Week, highlighting the dedication and hard work of its housekeeping team.

The celebration kicked off on September 8, 2024, with a vibrant opening ceremony attended by distinguished guests, including José Canals Palou, Regional Director for the Mediterranean, Middle East, and Asia, and David Fernández Fanego, Area Manager APAC of Barceló Hotels & Resorts. Santiago Rodriguez-Bustelo, General Manager of Barceló Whale Lagoon Maldives, delivered an inspirational opening address that set a positive tone for the week’s events.

Throughout the week, the resort organized a variety of engaging activities to honor and support the housekeeping staff. Highlights included a festive barbecue night, a lagoon cleaning initiative, and friendly volleyball and football matches. Under the leadership of Usman Ibrahim, Cluster Director of Housekeeping, and with the support of all departments, these activities were designed to recognize and celebrate the invaluable contributions of the housekeeping team.

Usman Ibrahim expressed his happiness and pride in the team’s accomplishments, noting, “It’s truly rewarding to see our team come together and celebrate their hard work. Their dedication is the foundation of our success, and this week was a wonderful opportunity to show our appreciation.”
