Canareef Resort Maldives Appoints Sherzod Berdov as Front Office Manager

Canareef Resort Maldives announces the appointment of Sherzod Berdov as the new Front Office Manager. With 14 years of extensive experience in the hospitality industry, Sherzod brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for exceptional guest service to this key role. 

Sherzod began his career in 2011 as a Guest Service Team Lead at a pre-opening hotel in his home city of Dushanbe. His outstanding performance led to a promotion to Duty Manager within the same property. Seeking to broaden his horizons, Sherzod joined the 5-star Redang  Island Resort in Malaysia in 2014, where he spent nearly two years honing his skills in a new setting.

In 2016, Sherzod returned to his previous hotel in Dushanbe, this time as Assistant Front Office  Manager (AFOM). His dedication and expertise earned him a promotion to Front Office Manager (FOM) in 2018, a position he held for nearly six years. During this time, Sherzod also managed e-commerce and Revenue responsibilities, showcasing his versatility and strategic thinking. 

In 2023, Sherzod took on a new challenge at a 4-star resort in Seychelles, where he spent a year further enhancing his skills and broadening his international experience. 

Sherzod’s journey is marked not only by his impressive career trajectory but also by his educational achievements. Initially holding a degree in Economics from Russian Slavonic University, Sherzod discovered his true passion for hospitality. To further his expertise, he pursued a degree in Hospitality Management from Cornell University, which he completed in 2020.
