The Hong Kong-based carrier, Cathay Pacific is allowing its customers to make unlimited changes to new tickets, at no extra cost for all new tickets purchased before June 30 this year.
Passengers who booked before March 9 can also make unlimited changes but fees may apply.
The airline added that customers will get free and unlimited changes available for up to one year after the ticket has been purchased.
“That means you can book knowing that you can push back your travel dates, or pick a new destination, as many times as you like,” the airline said.
Customers can adjust their booking using the manage booking tool on the airline’s website, until June 30. After that, the airline said passengers have to call their local reservations office to make any further changes up until the departure date. Trips must be completed within one year of the original ticket issuance date, added the airline.
Last month, Cathay Pacific and its regional airline Cathay Dragon said they will reduce their flying capacity by 97 per cent for the month of April due to the a drop in travel demand amid the ongoing COVID-19pandemic.
Cathay Pacific now operates two flights per week to four long-haul destinations: London (Heathrow), Los Angeles, Vancouver and Sydney.
The carrier also flies three times per week to eight regional destinations: Tokyo (Narita), Taipei, New Delhi, Bangkok, Jakarta, Manila, Ho Chi Minh City and Singapore.
Cathay Dragon , on the other hand, operates three flights per week to three destinations: Beijing, Shanghai (Pudong), and Kuala Lumpur.
