Centara Hotels & Resorts introduces its leadership team as it prepares for the eagerly awaited opening of its new property, Centara Mirage Lagoon Maldives, set to open its doors in November 2024 and Centara Grand Lagoon Maldives, which is expected to open its doors in early February 2025.
Centara Mirage Lagoon Maldives is a family-centric paradise that includes over 145 comfortable villas, both overwater and beachfront, thoughtfully designed to ensure family comfort. Each villa comprises spacious layouts, modern amenities, and private outdoor areas, making it the perfect place for families to unwind. The resort boasts an impressive selection of restaurants, each offering a unique dining experience to cater to diverse tastes and preferences.
The upcoming resorts, which are yet to open, will enhance Centara’s presence in the Maldives, further establishing the brand as a key player in this sought-after destination.
With a passion for exceeding guest expectations, Sucheera has spent over 17 years building a diverse hospitality career. Most recently, she was the Rooms Division Director at the Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai and played a key role in the pre-opening and successful launch of that hotel. Her career first started with the Sofitel Centara Grand Bangkok, and after exploring other properties, she returned to Centara and developed from an Assistant Front Office Manager at the Centara Grand at Central World (CGCW) to Director of Rooms at the Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok (CGLB). Her extensive understanding of the Centara culture has been integral to both the pre-opening and upcoming operations of the Centara Mirage Lagoon Maldives.
Randy joins the team with an impressive 25 years of experience in the hospitality sector. His distinguished career includes leadership roles at prestigious resorts such as Dhigali Maldives, Hotel Jen by Shangri La, and Bandos Maldives. His extensive background in food and beverage management, coupled with his expertise in training and operations, will bring valuable insights and improvements to the team. The team is confident that Randy will leverage his extensive knowledge and experience to make significant contributions to their efforts.
In this role, he will oversee all food and beverage operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality and service for both Centara Mirage Lagoon Maldives and Centara Grand Lagoon Maldives.
The team welcomes Chef Christof, who brings 30 years of experience in the culinary industry. His distinguished career includes leadership positions at renowned establishments such as Sun Siyam Iru Veli Maldives, Kurumba Maldives, Anantara Maldives, and Al Raha Beach UAE. His extensive background in culinary management, coupled with his expertise in training and operations, will bring valuable insights as they set up their culinary department. The team believes that Chef Christof will use his wealth of knowledge and experience to enrich the culinary team significantly.
In this role, he will oversee the entire culinary operations for both Centara Mirage Lagoon Maldives and Centara Grand Lagoon Maldives, ensuring the highest standards of quality and service for the guests.
With 16 years of experience, Yashfa began her career as a Senior Human Resources Officer in 2006. Specialising in Human Resources within the hospitality sector, she has played instrumental roles in the pre-opening setups of Hard Rock Hotel Maldives, Vakkaru Maldives and Kuda Fushi, and has experience in several other luxury resorts in the Maldives – Huvafen Fushi, Amilla Fushi, Lux and Jumeirah Vittaveli. The team is confident that Yashfa will bring invaluable knowledge and best practices gained from her extensive experience to further elevate the pre-opening preparations and upcoming operations for both Centara Mirage Lagoon Maldives and the Centara Grand Lagoon Maldives.
With over 20 years of experience in finance and accounting, Chureeporn is transitioning to her new role as Area Financial Controller for Centara Mirage and Centara Grand Lagoon Maldives starting November 1, 2024. Her track record includes overseeing financial operations at Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa and Centara Ras Fushi Resort & Spa in the Maldives, where she has been pivotal in optimising profitability, ensuring compliance, and leading successful financial strategies.
Chureeporn’s expertise spans financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and vendor negotiations. She also played a key role in pre-opening financial management for Centara Ras Fushi, showcasing her ability to manage complex financial setups for new properties. Her diverse experience in various Centara properties, including Centara Villas Phuket and Centara’s head office in Bangkok, equips her with a comprehensive understanding of both operational and strategic finance in the hospitality industry. With her leadership and financial acumen, she will be an invaluable asset in supporting the financial success of Centara Mirage and Centara Grand Lagoon Maldives.
Prakash brings extensive experience in the hospitality industry, having held key positions in engineering management at various prestigious resorts such as Shangri-la Resort & Spa Maldives, Centara Ras Fushi Resort & Spa Maldives and Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa Maldives. His passion for innovation and sustainability will be vital in driving the operational goals and improving guest experiences.
In this role, he will oversee all engineering operations and ensure the highest service standards at Centara Mirage Lagoon Maldives and Centara Grand Lagoon Maldives.
