The rapid spread of COVID-19 around the globe has thrown the international travel industry into chaos.
The government of Maldives has taken several preventive measures against the spread of the pandemic.
Maldives has declared a public health emergency for for a period of 30 days from 12th March 2020.
The Director General of Public Health, on Saturday (14th March) has issued an order to halt the travel of any persons to and from resorts to any residential island within the Maldives.
Despite all this, the tourism industry personnel are pulling it together welcoming the guests. The airport representatives are present to welcome the the tourists to the sunny side of life.
The people handling transfers including the boat crew, boat captains, flight attendants are taking care of the guests, making sure they are welcomed at the paradise destination.
Resort butlers, housekeeping, chefs, waiters and everyone in the industry are going out of their way to serve the tourists to make sure that they have the best of what Maldives can offer for the holiday makers.
