The Maldives reached a new milestone in February 2024, welcoming 217,391 tourists, the highest number in a single month and a 22% increase compared to the same period last year.
According to an infographic released by Maldives Immigration, the monthly daily average arrivals stood at 7,496. The maximum arrival was 10,214, while the minimum was 5,343.
The top source market for tourist arrivals during February was China, with 33,897 arrivals. In second place was the United Kingdom with 20,633 arrivals, followed by Russia with 19,734.
Currently, the number of tourists visiting the Maldives has been recorded as 466,273 as of 10th March 2024. This marks a notable increase of 61,375 tourists, equating to a 15.2% rise compared to the same period last year, which saw 404,898 visitors.
