Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives has inaugurated Mini Olympics for the 12th consecutive year at their resort.
The inauguration ceremony started with a recitation of the Quran and a welcome speech by the Executive Assistant Manager, Hussain Shahid. This was followed by the opening speech by General Manager, Mark Eletr and a few words by the chief guest, the General Secretary of the Olympics committee.
Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives will be carrying out the Mini Olympic with 5 teams named according to the main core values of Intercontinental Hotel Groups. These core values are: Do the Right Thing, Celebrate Differences, Show We Care, Work Better Together, and Aim higher.
Mini Olympics 2022 at Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma will be carrying out 29 different events. Some of the team events include futsal, cricket, tug of war, dodgeball, fishing and many more. In addition to this, individual events will have PS4 competitions, canoe races, SUP races, bicycle races, 5K marathons, long jump, etc.
Shahid also highlighted that 30% of the team members participating in the Mini Olympics 2022 have been in the resort for more than 10 years and 16% of them have been there for more than 5 years. Mini Olympics 2022 will be carried out with almost 20 nationalities and around 300+ professionals from all the departments including third staff members will be taking part in it.
