Minister of Tourism Dr. Abdulla Mausoom has welcomed Mr. Naito Takashi from Japan on his 103rd visit to the Maldives. The meeting took place on the safari vessel Blue, operated by Fun Azul Fleet, highlighting Mr. Takashi’s enduring affection for the island nation.
Over the past 24 years, Mr. Takashi has visited the country 3 to 5 times each year, showcasing his deep fondness for its beauty and hospitality.
In 2022, Japan ranked 39th among the top sources of tourists to the Maldives. As of August 2nd this year, the Maldives has welcomed an impressive total of 1,086,074 tourists, reaffirming its appeal as a sought-after destination.
