JW Marriott Maldives Resort & Spa announced the promotion of Laltlanpari (Pari) Varte to the position of Director of Spa at Spa by JW. Having joined the resort in 2020 as Spa Manager, Pari brings over 15 years of invaluable spa and wellness management experience from distinguished luxury establishments such as Oberoi Group of Hotels, Taj Hotels, Hyatt Hotels and Hilton Hotel. Her leadership has been instrumental in transforming Spa by JW into a sanctuary of relaxation and rejuvenation.
Under Pari’s expert guidance, Spa by JW was honoured with the esteemed Favorite Honeymoon Spa – Global Spa Awards 2022 and named Best Wellness Resort 2022 by Travel & Leisure India. These accolades serve as a testament to her exceptional leadership and commitment to excellence. Drawing inspiration from her parents and her hometown, Ubon Ratchathani, in the Isaan province, Chef Mama brings to Kaashi the rich and spicy flavours that define Thai cuisine. One of her signature creations is the somtam, a vibrant and flavorful papaya salad featuring fresh ingredients like strips of papaya, tomatoes, chilli peppers, beans, dried shrimp, and peanuts.
Chef Mama has been an integral part of the team at Kaashi, consistently delighting guests with her signature dishes that showcase authenticity and delicacy. Her extensive experience was acquired from working in numerous kitchens across Male, including Centara Ras Fushi, Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives, and Kandima Maldives.
