Le Méridien Maldives Resort & Spa, an eco-conscious upscale resort in Lhaviyani Atoll, Maldives, has appointed Darren Lancaster as its UK market representative. In this role, Darren will focus on leveraging the resort’s presence and strengthening its relationship with UK-based travel trade, supporting the resort’s continued growth in the UK market.
Darren, the founder and director of One World Travel Sales & Marketing Limited, brings over 20 years of experience in the travel and hospitality sectors, having successfully worked with leading brands to increase market penetration and drive sales growth. As Le Méridien Maldives Resort & Spa’s dedicated point of contact for UK trade partners, Darren will provide tailored sales and marketing support, including the organisation of agents, media and influencers FAM visits, workshops, sales missions, helping the resort to do media and influencer outreach, and customised travel packages.
As part of his responsibilities, Darren will work closely with UK travel trade professionals, providing them with the tools and resources needed to effectively promote Le Méridien Maldives Resort & Spa to their clients. This includes participation in industry events, bespoke training sessions, and ongoing support to ensure agents can confidently position the resort’s offerings.
