A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been signed on 17th September 2021, between Maldives National University – Faculty of Hospitality (MNU-FHTS) and Tourism Studies and Mövenpick Resort Kuredhivaru Maldives.
The MOU was signed by General Manager of Mövenpick Resort Mr Stanislaw Pajdzinski and Dean of FHTS Ms Zeenath Solih on behalf of MNU Vice Chancellor Dr Mohamed Shareef. The signing was held on 16th September 2021 at Mövenpick Resort, attended by the heads of departments and staff from both parties.
This collaboration collectively brings forward the shared aim of producing quality graduates, promoting shared excellence and the development of human capital in the hospitality and tourism sector of the Maldives. Earlier this year, MNU had also signed an MOU with the Ministry of Tourism to support cooperation and capacity building in the tourism and hospitality industry.
A number of students from FHTS has already successfully completed their internships at Mövenpick Resort previously. FHTS is the premier institute for tourism studies in the Maldives that has been in existence for the past three decades.
Mövenpick Resort Kuredhivaru Maldives is located in the Noonu Atoll, northern part of the Maldives with a 45 minutes transfer from Male’ and can only be described as a tropical hideaway and pristine sanctuary.
