NH Collection Maldives Havodda appointed Marlon Abeyakoon as General Manager effective 25 January 2024.
With over 25 years of experience in the industry, Marlon has a proven track record of operational excellence, having worked with international hospitality brands such as Kerzner, Hilton and Marriott across the UK, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Fiji and the UAE.
In his recent role as General Manager at Oaks Ibn Battuta Gate Hotel in Dubai, he spearheaded a transformative repositioning of the property, elevating its status and enhancing its appeal.
Additionally, he implemented innovative cost-saving measures while maintaining high standards of service quality, resulting in increased profitability and recognition.
He was honoured by being shortlisted as one of the top contenders for the title of Best General Manager of the Year 2023 in the Hotelier Middle East Awards, a testament to his exceptional leadership and contributions to the hospitality industry.
A British national, Marlon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with Hospitality from Edinburgh Napier University, UK.
