Travel Trade Maldives, opening event, the TTM Travel Summit will be having prominent figures from the travel and tourism industry on 28th November 2021 at Meerumaa Events and Conference Facility. This year’s summit will be focusing on “Future opportunities, new normal procedures and what is next to come in the hospitality industry of the Maldives.”
This summit will be inaugurated by the Indian High Commissioner to the Maldives, his Excellency H.E. Munu Mahawar. TTM Travel Summit will commence with the speech of the guest of honor.
The first speaker of the TTM Travel Summit will be the chief executive officer, and managing director of Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation, Mr.Thoyyib Mohamed who would be delivering a presentation on the marketing and promotion of Maldives as a destination brand.
Mr.Tolga Unan, managing director of Marina @ CROSSROADS and Hard Rock Hotel Maldives will talk about redefining the Maldives experience based on the experience he has gained working globally for over 25 years in the tourism industry. In addition to this Mr.Mark Hehir, the general manager of The-Ritz Carlton will be joining this year’s summit and present about catering to a new era of travelers.
Ms.Carolina Svensson, head of market management, Indian Ocean, and Julia Kaminski, market manager to Maldives and Srilanka from dnata Travel Group will be joining to talk about the booking trends and the future opportunities for the tourism industry of the Maldives.
Moreover, Mr.Jubin Thomas, Subcontinental Sales Manager to the Maldives from Lutron will be talking about creating a sustainable guest experience. The importance of digital innovation in the tourism industry will be covered by Mr.Rajesh Mehta, director enterprise of Ooredoo Maldives, and Mr.Rangika Somarathne, senior account manager to the Maldives from booking.com will be talking about online travel aggregator trends. Meanwhile, Mr.Paul Heimo, group division director of the Indian Ocean and Latin America will be joining us to talk about digital brochures for the future.
Additionally, this year’s summit will feature prominent figures in the Maldives tourism industry such as Mohamed Raaidh, managing director of Maldives Integrated Tourism Development Corporation who will be talking about tourism diversification and incorporating heritage, culture, and sail segments through community-based tourism. The TTM Travel Summit will be followed by the TTM Prescheduled meetings which will be held on 29th and 30th November along with the TTM Awards and Gala night that will be held on 30th November at Marina @ CROSSROADS Maldives.
