Seaside Finolhu Baa Atoll Maldives and Maldives National University (MNU) joined forces today in a historic memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing ceremony held at the resort. This endeavour represents a notable achievement in both the tourism and education sectors, ushering in a period characterised by hands-on learning, academic inquiry, and active involvement with the community.
Key figures from both organizations, including Dr Ali Fawaz Shareef, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Ms Zeenath Solih, Dean of FHTS, Mr Steven Phillips, General Manager of Seaside Finolhu Maldives, Mr Matheen Faisal, Human Resource Manager of Seaside Finolhu Maldives, Mr Eranga Bandara, Talent Development Manager of Seaside Finolhu Maldives and team members of both Seaside Finolhu Maldives and The Maldives National University attended the signing ceremony.
The objective of the MoU is to offer Seaside Finolhu’s employees an opportunity to pursue further education and development in hospitality through academic programs available at MNU for both locals and work permit holders. This innovative initiative aims to offer convenient access to high-quality education and training, fostering skill enhancement and career development on-site. By facilitating academic programs within the resort, the ORC fosters a conducive learning environment, empowering islanders to pursue continuous professional growth. This approach not only benefits individual islanders but also contributes to the overall excellence of the resort’s hospitality services, ensuring enhanced guest experiences and satisfaction.
