The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands has announced the appointment of Afaag Ibrahim as Director of Sales and the promotion of Ahmed Sabah to Sales Manager. Afaag brings over a decade of luxury hospitality sales experience in the Maldives, known for developing market strategies that drive impressive results in competitive regions. Sabah, who joined the resort as a Sales Executive, has shown exceptional dedication and skill in advancing the property’s sales efforts and nurturing client relationships.
Afaag joins from Vakkaru Maldives, where he directed Sales and implemented strategies that expanded the brand’s reach in global markets. He also played a key role in the launch of Patina Maldives, overseeing the Australia and Middle East markets while also supporting the UK market. In his new role at The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands, Afaag will support the Sales & Marketing team in the Middle East, Australia and Europe markets, as well as contribute to on-island S&M initiatives to drive revenue growth, strengthening the resort’s global presence.
Since joining The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands, Sabah has been key in managing communications with global partners, overseeing familiarization stays, and coordinating strategic initiatives. His new role as Sales Manager will focus on covering the India and Local DMC markets while enhancing wholesale and MICE strategies. His promotion reflects his dedication and the value he brings to the Ritz-Carlton Maldives team, as the resort continues to offer unparalleled luxury experiences to guests.
