Maha Naseer, one of the Top Chef from the Maldives, recently served as a judge at the prestigious LaCuisine Competition 2024, held from November 12th to 16th in Jakarta, Indonesia. Representing The Chefs Guild of Maldives, Maha lent her expertise to one of Southeast Asia’s largest culinary exhibitions, which attracted 989 participants from across Asia. The competition served as a stage for chefs from various regions to demonstrate their creativity and culinary expertise, and Maha’s role as a judge not only highlighted her expertise but also helped promote Maldivian culinary arts on the global stage.
The competition was judged by 44 renowned culinary experts from around the world, including those from the Maldives, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, China, the Philippines, and Norway. Along with other prominent experts, Maha Naseer brought her wealth of knowledge and years of experience, adding significant value and insight to the panel of judges.
Maha Naseer is a certified continental judge of the World Association of Chefs’ Societies and the first Maldivian to secure the Masterchef title from the World Master Chefs Society and continues to inspire and shape culinary trends around the world.
Beyond her role as a judge, Maha Naseer also serves as a board member for the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation, the country’s official tourism board. Through her participation in the LaCuisine Competition 2024, she elevates her personal accomplishments while significantly enhancing the reputation of Maldivian culinary arts on an international platform.
