The 8th edition of the highly anticipated TTM Maldives 2024 has officially commenced, bringing together distinguished guests, travel trade partners, and industry leaders for a two-day event.
As the country’s largest travel trade show, TTM Maldives 2024 provides a platform for networking, learning, and collaboration among key stakeholders in the travel trade industry. Held from August 21st to 22nd, 2024, the event gathers industry players at the Meerumaa Conference Facility for the TTM Connect Meetings. It culminates with the TTM Awards & Gala Night at Adaaran Select Hudhuran Fushi.
The pre-scheduled TTM Connect Meetings will take place from 10 am to 5 pm, utilising the TTM Connect portal, which features exciting new features, including the People’s Travel Trade Directory. Each year, TTM Maldives facilitates over 3,000 pre-scheduled meetings among 500 travel trade professionals. This year’s event showcases over 100 exhibiting resorts, welcoming over 250 agents, operators, and local DMCs from diverse markets.
The event was inaugurated with an opening speech delivered by Ibrahim Faisal, the Tourism Minister of the Maldives.
The opening ceremony also included presentations from key industry players. Trip.com discussed optimising the Chinese market using technology, while Fliggy shared their approach to enhancing the Maldives experience. Booking.com provided insights into market trends and consumer behaviour for travellers to the Maldives, and Agoda outlined opportunities in online distribution.
Other partners shared further insights: MasterCard explored “Harnessing Data for Smarter Decision-Making,” Ooredoo Maldives focused on “Transforming Hospitality through ICT,” and IDeaS delved into “AI in Revenue Management.”
