Turkish Airlines have confirmed flight on 5th May 2020, whereas Skyup Airlines has confirmed a flight on 8th May 2020 on board from Velana International Airport. These are special repatriation flights scheduled to operate for tourists and people with work visa in Maldives.
In a circular released by the Tourism Ministry, all passengers flying onboard Turkish Airlines flight TK 731 0n 5th May and Skyup Airlines flight PQ5906 on 8th May, are kindly reminded that the Maldives Police Service will only permit vessels/ vehicles carrying passengers with confirmed tickets from their respective locations to the airport.
Ministry further requests all resorts, guesthouses and island councils to cooperate with the Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tourist Police to extend all the necessary assistance to the passengers in reaching the airport.
In addition to this, the national carrier Maldivian will also be operating a special flight to Bangkok, Thailand on 4th May 2020.
