Crown & Champa Resorts (CCR) announces the reopening of the Veligandu Maldives Resort Island on November 23, 2024, marking its transformation into a luxurious five-star destination. Located in the picturesque North Ari Atoll, just 25 minutes by seaplane or 60 minutes by speedboat from Velana International Airport, this iconic island has undergone extensive renovations to elevate its offerings while preserving its rich heritage.
Established in 1984 as one of the Maldives’ pioneering resorts, Veligandu has long been cherished for its natural beauty and exceptional hospitality. The renovation has further enhanced this beloved retreat, blending Maldivian authenticity with modern sophistication.

The resort boasts 100 villas, including 47 Ocean Pool Villas with glass floors revealing the crystalline waters below, 28 Ocean Villas, 16 Jacuzzi Beach Villas, and 9 Beach Villas. Each villa features interiors inspired by tropical surroundings, king-size beds, private porches, and modern amenities such as 55- or 65-inch flat-screen TVs.
